Risky Business Draft

Prescription drug abuse is a major problem among teens and they should be out of reach to teens. Every day in the United States, an average of two thousand teenagers use prescription drugs without a doctor's guidance for the first time.
Many of the teens that do prescription drugs believe prescription is not as bad as street drugs. 1 out of 3 teens believe there nothing wrong with taking prescribed drugs. 20% of parents are willing to give teens prescribed drugs Most parents trust their teens not to take their prescriptions and tend to not put barriers for the drug. Owners of drugs should keep their prescription drugs in a barrier as it allows teens to have the option of obtaining these drugs if not kept on lock.
To avoid trouble people should only take prescription drugs under a doctor's direction. Teens tend to experiment with different kinds of drugs mainly to get high, treat pain, education, or physical appearances.  If a teen misused the drug they may fall to addiction or overdose and may cause problems later in life. A prescription drug  will cause problems because it was customized due to preferences of prescribed person by a doctor. Experimenting too much as a teen can have a huge toll on their body and lead to later consequences.
Abusing prescription drugs can have a short and long term health consequence and the effects are on the container. If a teen were to take a mind-altering drug it may affect their judgment. Their decisions can lead to more drug abuse and will lead a teen's life in a negative direction.  Teens that overdose drugs will have a harder time for the drug's effects to come about the more they to use the drug.
In the end prescription drugs are nothing to joke about and are as dangerous as illegal drugs if not taken seriously. Drugs are drugs and that doesn't change whether you add something to its name, there are good and bad things to drugs but if misused it will lead to many problems as you grow older and teens at the age of experimentation with drugs are the most susceptible to this. Now imagine if one pill can prolong your life, what do you think ten more can do?

  1. You are missing a full introduction, you start off with just facts but don't tell us the purpose of the facts. There is no discussion of the topic and your subtopic and your thesis is missing. Because all of this is missing I do not know the purpose of your essay and why you are writing the essay. You need to clarify what you are trying to say. It seems almost just like an informational essay on why it is bad. AS(1+)
